Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. Alabama. player. 57. WR. Calvin Ridley. 6

When you draft a young quarterback like the Bears did last year with Mitchell Trubisky, you need to surround him with talent. Chicago is seriously lacking in the wide receiver department at the moment, meaning this Top-10 pick can be justified on landing a potential star.

Calvin Ridley had a breakout season two years ago as a freshman for the Crimson Tide, helping them win the national title with 89 catches for 1,045 yards and seven touchdowns. Last year, his numbers dipped to 72 receptions for 769 yards but he had seven scores again.

Ridley, who stands 6-foot-1, is excellent in blocking and has soft hands that allow him to haul in just about everything. While his receptions are down this year compared to last, his yards are up, which has given him a career-high 16 yards per reception.

He has hauled in 55 passes for 896 yards, giving him 216 career catches for 2,710 yards with 17 touchdowns.
