Defensive Tackle. Clemson Tigers. Christian Wilkins. 18. player. 16.

Bolstering the defensive line is priority one for the Buffalo Bills. The need for quarterback can be postponed past this pick after the departure of All-Pro defensive tackle Marcell Dareus. Trading Dareus was not a great move for the Bills and they’re paying for it right now.

For the Bills to build back up to being a strong defense against the run, they need some help up the middle. The AFC East traditionally has strong rushing attacks, or at least versatile offenses that will open up run defense (i.e. the Patriots).

Head coach Dabo Swinney built up a truly powerful defensive line with Clemson. There’s going to be a few players picked off this defensive line over the next two NFL Drafts, in the first round. Defensive tackle Christian Wilkins will be one of the first to go.

Wilkins offers a defensive tackle with a well-rounded game that would not need too much development. Yet, as a former five-star recruit, Wilkins does still have a lot of potential that has not been tapped into.
