4. Auburn wins the SEC West, again

The SEC West is not going to be a cakewalk in 2018. The same was true of last season and that didn’t stop the Tigers from toppling the Crimson Tide and winning the division. The offseason focus will be on the quarterback battle in Tuscaloosa, leaving Auburn out of the spotlight. They’ll be ready. After a long, strenuous SEC slate the Iron Bowl will once again prove to be the deciding game in the West.

The Tigers will miss the presence of Kerryon Johnson, who carried the ball 30 times for 104 yards against Alabama last year, but their offensive philosophy isn’t going to change. They’ll ride Martin and Pettway to another big win, this time in Tuscaloosa. Don’t be surprised to see Jarrett Stidham get more involved in the ground game as well. He averaged just over seven carries per game last season and scored four rushing touchdowns.

Outside of Alabama the Tigers only real threat in the West would seem to be Texas A&M. and Since the Aggies entered the SEC in 2012 the road team has won every contest. This coming game will take place at Jordan-Hare Stadium. Auburn also draws LSU, Arkansas and Tennessee at home. Auburn is in the upper-tier of SEC teams and well within reach of their second-straight SEC West title.
