57. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. Cornerback. Ohio State. Denzel Ward. 8. player

Needs: WR, OL, CB

The Chicago Bears have their quarterback of the future in Mitchell Trubisky, and a new head football coach in Matt Nagy. The Bears already have a 1,000 yard rusher in Jordan Howard and will go after the defensive side of the ball in 2018 after drafting Trubisky in the first round of 2017.

Denzel Ward, the former Ohio State Buckeye cornerback, will be the Bears’ first round selection. The Bears also need a wide receiver for Trubisky and offensive line help but it’s seemed like Chicago has needed those two things for the past decade.

Chicago will go with the speedy Ward to improve their porous defensive backfield. The Bears face quarterbacks like Aaron Rogers and Matt Stafford twice a season and need to be able to stop the Packers and Lions as well as the Vikings who will most likely be trusting a veteran to lead their team at the quarterback position.
