1. He has a chip on his shoulder

Dillon will be out to prove people wrong this season. Boston College isn’t your typical powerhouse squad but he can almost single-handedly provide the jolt the Eagles need to climb out of the middle of the pack.

The last couple of seasons, Boston College has either wallowed in an average or a losing season and Dillon can be a major factor in turning this around.

He will enter 2018 having to defend his ACC rushing title from a year ago. Dillon will have to do much of the same if he wants to compete to win the Heisman Trophy.

Perhaps another source of confidence and drive will come from the pure fact that Boston College only has one Heisman Trophy winner in program history. The last Heisman winner the Eagles claimed was nearly 35 years ago when Doug Flutie won it in 1984.

What better way is there to bring a program back to prominence than winning a Heisman Trophy?

Dillon may be an unheralded preseason contender for the Heisman but given the way he played last season, he certainly makes for a story to watch as one of the top dark horse Heisman hopefuls in 2018.
