ACC Football Power Rankings, Week 4: Clemson QB change brings momentum
Another big shocker of the weekend was Purdue easily taking care of the Eagles. Boston College has looked like a balanced team all year-long but it’s loss to Perdue will raise a lot of eyebrows. They didn’t seem to have any shot to win this game by the second quarter, and they couldn’t contain super freshman Rondale Moore who caught eight passes for 110 yards and two scores. Next up they face the Temple Owls and if they overlook of them we could see them drop down the rankings a bit further.
The Seminoles finally turned it around in an impressive performance against Northern Illinois. You may not think that it is a big win for an ACC team but northern Illinois has one of the best defensive lines in the country. Deondre Francois threw for over 350 yards and this is the type of offense that you should expect from Willy Taggart teams. Florida State travels to Louisville this week and the Cardinals have struggled on offense for most of September. That game can go either way but it wouldn’t surprise me if the Seminoles came out on top.
The Wolfpack had a bye this week after the game was canceled three due to Hurricane Florence. They are well rested and we need to play at their best to defeat a Virginia team that is slowly sneaking up to the top of the conference standings. I do expect them to beat the Cavaliers but it will be closer than people think.
