The Hokies losing to Old Dominion was the biggest upset of the weekend in the ACC. Old Dominion rolled with their backup quarterback in the game and he torched the Hokie secondary for 495 yards and four touchdown passes. Virginia Tech will look to bounce back against the Blue Devils this week in what will be another high-profile ACC contest.

There seems to be a two-team race in terms of offensive firepower in the ACC. Clemson has a boatload of talent but Syracuse has consistently put up big numbers against every opponent this year. They dropped 51 on UConn and Eric Dungey continues to play like an ACC Offensive Player of the Year candidate.

Dungey threw for 285 yards and accounted for three total touchdowns in the convincing win. We will find out if Syracuse is a real threat to climb up the ranks soon as they travel to a Death Valley and face Clemson this weekend.

The Blue Devils made easy work of North Carolina Central, winning by 42 points. Quentin Harris had three touchdowns but left the game with an injury and his status for the matchup against Virginia Tech is up in the air. If he’s ruled out of the game it will be hard for the Duke to come away with a victory.
