Syracuse lost their second straight game, but they didn’t slide far down our rankings. Yes, Pittsburgh beat them in overtime but it doesn’t mean we should undervalue the talent of this team. Syracuse will look to turn things around after their bye as they get the Tar Heels at home.

The Blue Devils had their bye and face Georgia Tech this weekend. It will be a true test for their defense as they’re giving up just 122 yards per game on the ground. If Georgia Tech gets off to a fast start the Blue Devils could lose their second game in a row.

The Wolfpack are undefeated heading into the middle of October, and if they didn’t have a game canceled against West Virginia they could potentially be undefeated and in the top 15 of the AP poll people. Ryan Finley threw two touchdowns but also had two interceptions and will look to limit the turnovers In their next game against Clemson. If the Wolfpack can’t force the Tigers to throw the football it could be a long day for North Carolina State.
