A.J. Brown. 4. player. 53. . Wide Receiver. Ole Miss Rebels

The Browns made headlines this past week with the firing of head coach Hue Jackson and offensive coordinator Todd Haley. The fact that Jackson kept the job for as long as he did while amassing a 3-36-1 record is a testament to the instability of the franchise.

He was brought in as an offensive guru but the Browns never seemed to get consistent play on that side of the football. Bringing in Todd Haley should have been an upgrade for the offense as he had major success with Big Ben and the Steelers, but it seems like the fighting between the two lead to both parties being dismissed.

Cleveland selected Baker Mayfield with the first pick in the NFL draft so finding a receiver for him to pair with Jarvis Landry is what will happen in this scenario. A.J. Brown has been one of the best receivers in the SEC this season and should continue to do so on Sundays in the NFL.

He is averaging nearly eight catches and 100 yards receiving per game to go along with five touchdowns. Cleveland can also go with an offensive tackle to replace future Hall of Famer Joe Thomas, but I am expecting them to reach on a position that can be filled in a later round.

The dysfunction of the franchise will make them try to appease Mayfield by giving him another playmaker on the outside.
