Quarterback. Missouri Tigers. Drew Lock. 5. player. 31.

The Giants have played horribly this season, and although Saquon Barkley has made a number of plays in the backfield, it’s safe to say that the Giants passed up golden opportunities to draft two quarterbacks of the future and Sam Darnold and Josh Rosen.

For some reason, the Giants brass thought that drafting Barkley would put them in a “win-now” situation, but it’s clear that Eli’s best days have been long gone. Instead of missing the opportunity this time around the 1-7 Giants will draft Drew Lock out of Missouri as the quarterback of the future.

A lot has it been lighting up SEC defenses this season but he still a physical specimen that can handle the pressure of playing in New York. Pairing Odell Beckham with a young quarterback that can get the ball to him down the field will set the Giants up for success for the next five to six years while Odell is still in his prime.

In the Tigers win over Florida Saturday he finished 24-32 for 250 yards and three touchdowns.

If the Giants decide to pass on a quarterback again, look for them to go after a cornerback after trading Eli Apple, or an offensive tackle to protect whoever lines up behind center next season.
