2019 NFL Mock Draft: Projected first round after Week 10
The Broncos made waves trading starting wide receiver Demaryius Thomas before the trade deadline. Thomas has been one of the best receivers the league has seen since being drafted, but it wasn’t surprising to see him get moved.
The Broncos could consider replacing Thomas at such a high spot, but going for a cornerback is a better choice for the league’s 16th ranked pass defense. A corner as talented as Greedy Williams would be a great addition to the secondary. Leading the LSU secondary, Williams and the Tigers have given up just seven touchdown passes all season, while picking off fourteen passes.
Williams has the talent to be gone sooner but if he’s available Denver will quickly snatch him up as their shutdown corner for the 2020s.
Other players to consider at this position will be Josh Allen of Kentucky, and Jonah Williams out of Alabama.
