ACC Football Power Rankings: Boston College is moving on up
The Panthers are now in the driver’s seat to face Clemson after Darren Hall ran the ball 19 times for 229 yards and three scores in the big win over Virginia. With a half-game lead over Virginia the Panthers can win out and make the ACC title game. Virginia Tech visits this weekend and with the inconsistent play of the Hokies the Panthers should stretch their conference lead out.
Ryan Finley and the Wolfpack made easy work of the Seminoles as he threw three touchdown passes in the easy 47-28 victory. Although they had a minor bump in the road with a two-game losing streak it looks like things are back on track. Reggie Gallaspy II ran the ball 21 times for 106 yards, while Ricky Person Jr. scored two touchdowns on the ground. Wake Forest is up next on Thursday night and with the offense humming it should be an easy victory for the Wolfpack.
The Eagles continued their balanced attack as they took care of business in the second half against Virginia Tech scoring 24 of their 31 points. AJ Dillon ran the ball 24 times for 96 yards in the score, while Travis Levi had 11 carries for 75 yards and two touchdowns. A trip to Death Valley is up next and prime time on Saturday, and it will be very tough for the Eagles to slow down Clemson’s high-powered offense.
