2. What is wrong with the Pitt Panthers?

For the second straight year, the Pitt Panthers are not a winning team. They finish 7-7 for two straight seasons and that in itself is something to worry about. That was good enough for the ACC Coastal title, but what does that really mean? It just means that the ACC isn’t exactly the conference they claim to be, outside of Clemson of course.

They were unable to really get anything going for the Sun Bowl, which is what caused them to fall to the Cardinal who also didn’t do anything really offensively. All they did was enough to knock Pitt out, scoring touchdowns instead of settling for field goals.

Here is my question. What is wrong with Pitt? Just two years ago, this team upset Clemson and looked like a team that could play spoiler to quite a few other teams throughout their conference. Now, they are struggling to keep up and stay on the winning side of things.

Is it time for Pitt to hire a new coach? Maybe change up the offensive scheme? Maybe focus more on red zone offense than on red zone defense? I don’t know, but they need to do something and fast before some other mediocre team takes over their spot at the top of the Coastal division of the ACC.
