Big Ten Football: Top 10 recruits joining the conference in 2019
The first appearance for Michigan State on this list gives us and introduction to Devontae Dobbs, a local prospect from Belleville, Michigan, just a short hour and half drive down I-96 and US Highway 23 from East Lansing.
Dobbs is the highest ranked prospect in Michigan State’s recruiting class and will join an offensive line group that was relatively young in 2018 and showed throughout the course of the season.
On tape, Dobbs brings us moments that remind us of former Ole Miss offensive tackle and center-point of the movie “The Blindside”, Michael Oher. Dobbs repeatedly drives his man downfield for 10-15 yards at a time.
When he’s not driving them down the field, he’s putting them on their backs and opening alley’s for his running backs to run through. One are he will need to work on is his pass blocking, which is something Michigan State struggled with at times this past season.
