Big Ten Football: Top 10 recruits joining the conference in 2019

The second of two Michigan State recruits round put this top 10 list as the Spartans also added a lightning fast recruit who is teammates with Devontae Dobbs at Belleville High School. Julian Barnett is a four-star cornerback, according to 247 Sports, and is the eight-rated cornerback in the nation for 2019 and for good reason.

Barnett stands at 6-foot-2, 190 pounds, the ideal size for most cornerbacks in today’s college football world. The obvious face that sticks out with Barnett is his speed, he will bring speed to a Michigan State defense that is need of it. He also showed great hands while playing receiver, which will help him with adjusting and making interceptions. He also showed great playmaking ability as a return man and could make an instant impact next season as a returner.

Mark Dantonio sees the issues Michigan State had last season and has done a fantastic job addressing these issues. Barnett is a tremendous get for the Spartans this year.
