Some have already given redshirt freshman Chris Curry the nickname “Baby Beast Mode” and he lived up to that during the spring game with a couple of bruising runs and touchdowns.

There are plenty of players with Curry’s build at 6-foot-0 and 220 pounds, but he has a much tougher running style than most. Often times, you’ll see running backs with that kind of size and they stand straight up when they run and try to get too fancy instead of utilizing their advantage. Curry doesn’t mind running people over, and he makes it look pretty.

Kenan Jones was on the wrong end of a Curry truck-stick during the spring game and LSU fans can expect to see much more of that in 2019 as he was one of the standout performers on offense.

The Tigers never have a shortage of running backs and such is the case heading into 2019 with Clyde Edwards-Helaire and Lanard Fournette returning, but Curry is the wild card of the bunch with arguably the highest ceiling.

Are we looking at Marshawn Lynch 2.0?
