2. No room for error

Clemson’s weak schedule means they can’t afford to lose a game and with non-conference matchups against Texas A&M and South Carolina that might be hard when you take a look at Dabo Swinney’s record against both of these opponents.

Dabo’s 5-4 record against Jimbo Fisher means the latter is due to even the score in 2019 and he has the team to do it. And the fact the Gamecocks have beaten him five times in the past is no small feat.

Remember, just because Clemson’s schedule is relatively weaker compared to other teams doesn’t mean it will be easy to go undefeated. In addition to their non-conference schedule, ACC teams like Syracuse and Miami pose a legitimate threat to the Tigers’ perfect season.

Running the table in 2019 might prove to be too hard even with Clemson’s weak schedule.

The room for error is slim in 2019, turning the pressure up tremendously.
