Purdue Football: Can Boilermakers find consistency in 2019?
Can Rondale Moore live up to the Heisman hype?
It should come to no surprise that the leader of the Boilermakers’ offense in 2019 is none other than sophomore sensation Rondale Moore. He made his presence known as one of the best all-around players last season, racking up over 2,200 all-purpose yards and totaling 14 touchdowns, all while averaging 12.3 yards per touch.
And while Moore only stands at 5-foot-9 and weighs 175 pounds, the key to his success isn’t just his speed but also his strength. He has the ability to be able to drive through tackles and stay on his feet to pick up those big time gains.
But the Purdue offense will need more than just Heisman talent of Moore to keep the Boilermakers in contention.
The Boilermakers lost three starting offensive linemen, two receivers and their leading rusher from a season ago.
So who will help Moore carry the workload? Why not the man throwing him the ball? Following a disappointing 2018 season, quarterback Elijah Sindelar looks to bounce back and prove he is Purdue’s best option as QB1. He has a strong arm and, if he can stay healthy, can help provide the big yardage plays that keep the Purdue offense going.
Can Sindelar and Moore rank among the best QB/WR duos in the nation?
