2. Florida defensive line was an A+; Miami offensive line was an F

I said in my pregame preview that Jabari Zuniga could take over this game on his own, going against the inexperienced Hurricanes offensive line. The question marks for Florida’s defensive line was who else would be able to step up.

After the first game, it’s safe to say the coaching staff will be very happy with the entire defensive line.

The Gators amassed nine sacks and found some dynamic pass rushers. Alongside Zuniga, Jonathan Greenard had 2.5 sacks, and was in the backfield seemingly all game long. They’ll be a dynamic pass rushing duo in the SEC this season.

For Miami, that offensive line was, well, yikes. You have to feel for Jarren Williams. His first career start, and it seemed like Florida had two or three guys in the backfield the entire game. He struggled, but I saw flashes of potential, and with a bit of time to throw, he could become a very good quarterback.
