The Rebels finished 5-7 a year ago, and they’re likely to be a very similar team in 2019. Matt Luke, however, won’t settle with that for long, and he’s made moves to improve.

The biggest of those moves was the hiring of new coordinators. Rich Rodriguez was brought in to run the offense, and Mike MacIntyre to run the defense. A new coordinator doesn’t guarantee immediate success, but it should bring improvement to a team that, especially defensively, struggled last year.

The Rebel passing game will be potent with Matt Corral, but Ole Miss isn’t particularly strong anywhere else. This matchup’s result in 2018 was a 31-16 Auburn victory, and this year’s game will likely be similar. Corral will get his, but Auburn is the far more talented team, and they’re especially good at Jordan-Hare.

Prediction: Win (6-3, 3-3)
