3. Rondale Moore will have a more complete game

On a quick glance at the box score, Purdue wideout Rondale Moore had a tremendous Week 1 performance, catching 11 balls for 124 yards and a touchdown. It’s a great looking stat line. However, almost all of it came in the first half. With about nine minutes remaining in the third quarter, Moore had eight of his 11 receptions and 114 of his 124 yards.

Sindelar saw a statistical dip in the second half as well, and going away from Moore was a big part of that.

For Purdue to be successful, its primary playmaker can’t disappear for an entire half. That’s especially true if it’s in the second half of a game that’s slipping away.

This week, as Purdue looks to correct mistakes and move on, this should be the primary goal. Moore is a game-breaking playmaker, and Brohm and Sindelar will certainly make a point of getting the ball to Moore more on a more consistent basis.
