1. Purdue got the bounce-back it needed

This was a big bounce-back game for Purdue as they controlled the whole second half against Vanderbilt.

In Week 1, Purdue blew a 24-7 lead to Nevada and there were times against Vanderbilt that many thought it could blow the lead. When Vanderbilt scored to cut the gap to 35-24, fans started to wonder if Purdue was going to let Vanderbilt back in after dominating the whole second half.

Purdue was able to do more than hang on and after the Vanderbilt score, Elijah Sindelar had a huge pass to Rondale Moore that eventually set up a touchdown that put the game out of reach. This was a big game for Purdue to get their first win of the season, but also keep the lead they built up.

Vanderbilt is now off to an 0-2 start and will have to change some things on both sides of the ball to improve.
