Offense

The offense looked awesome against UCLA. Racking up almost 700 yards of total offense and giving the Cougars a fighting chance to win this game. Turnovers ultimately killed the WSU drives as they lost four fumbles in the second half alone that all turned into UCLA points.

Quarterback: A

Anthony Gordon had a record-breaking performance against the Bruins. Coming up huge for the Cougars with almost 600 passing yards and nine, yes nine touchdowns through the air. The only miscues were the two tipped interceptions early that could have been avoided. When you put up 63 points, not much else should be needed to win the football game.

Running Backs: B

Max Borghi had a quiet game until he broke off a 70-yard receiving touchdown in the fourth quarter for the Cougars to regain the lead. He ended with 120 rushing yards and 80 yards receiving with one touchdown. Coming into the matchup, Borghi was expected to gash the Bruin defense, coming up just a little too quiet on Saturday.

Receivers/Tight Ends: B+

The wide receivers for WSU played really well on Saturday, with six different receivers having caught touchdowns in a record-breaking performance. Easop Winston Jr. led the Cougars with four touchdowns and 114 receiving yards. The dropped passes at the end of the game combined with the three fumbles the receivers had in the fourth quarter, unfortunately, has them with room to grow.

Offensive Line: B

The offensive line played well almost all game for the Cougars. It felt like Anthony Gordon had all day to throw in the pocket and was comfortable almost all night. The strip-sack at the end put a damper on the offensive line showing, as well as the Wazzu comeback aspirations.
