2. WSU secondary needs work

Dorian Thompson-Robinson and the UCLA Bruins have not been great on offense in 2019. The Bruins shocked the Cougs and came out and punched the WSU defense in the mouth. Passing for over 500 yards in a career day for Thompson-Robinson, the true sophomore added five touchdowns through the air.

The Cougar defense has looked solid in the first three games. Bottling up a good Houston Cougar offense and limiting them to only 24 points. Saturday night was a different story as they gave up 67 points — yes, 67 points — to a UCLA team that started 0-3 and showed no signs of life in those first three games.

The Washington State team has a ranked Utah and a ranked Arizona State team coming up in the next two weeks that they will have to tighten up for. Giving up 500 yards through the air is never going to be a recipe for success.
