Iowa. A.J. Epenesa. 6. player. 31. Pick Analysis. EDGE. Scouting Report

The rebuild has been painful to watch but light is starting to shine on the New York Giants’ franchise. They have their once-in-a-generation running back and their future at quarterback but are lacking the support they need on the defensive end.

The Giants could really go with the top prospect of any defensive position here but getting an edge defender like A.J. Epenesa  provides immediate support in the both the pass and rush defense.

In a limited role last year, Epenesa finished the season with 10.5 sacks and 16.5 tackles for loss, providing high expectations for what he can produce in a more active role.

With offensive lines like the Cowboys and the Eagles in the division, providing a disruptive player like Epenesa will help keep the Giants pointed in the right direction as they look to catch up to their divisional foes.
