2. The Tigers turn it on late again and it works — again

This is the second shootout that the Tigers have found themselves in this season. The first one was in Austin against the Longhorns. It looked a lot of the time that the Longhorns were going to pull off the upset as they were keeping up with the Tigers blow for blow at home. However, in the fourth quarter, things started to turn in LSU’s favor and they pulled away, finding a way to win.

The same thing happened against Florida. This was a game that was blow for blow. It was tied at halftime. Florida took the lead in the third quarter and I thought that maybe the Gators had a chance to sneak this one out in Baton Rouge. But something turned on for the Tigers late in the third and into the fourth quarter that put this one on ice for them.

Will that be a good enough approach for the rest of the season? I am not sure, but it is important to note that they are playing well throughout games, it is more the defense that really turns it on late and allows the Tigers to pull away. This is going to be an interesting team to follow throughout the rest of the season.
