1. LSU’s offense makes this team different this year

I have a couple questions about LSU’s defense this season. That used to be the unit that was the sure thing for the Tigers. They flew around the field and made sure that all the offense had to do was just enough to score more than the defense allowed the other team to. That isn’t the case this season though. While the defense does well enough, it is more about the offense.

Joe Burrow is a Heisman hopeful at quarterback for the Tigers and that isn’t happening on accident. He is doing everything he needs to and isn’t relying on anyone else to do it. However, his offense is making things hard for opponents.

For the first time in a while, the Tigers are slinging the ball around and that is already making things hard to defense. But, guess what, they have a great running game to make things even harder for opposing defenses and that is what happened to Florida. If they shut down the pass, they got the run. If they shut down the run, they got the pass.

I’ve got the Tigers making a run to the playoff this season and a lot of that will be due to their offense and the attacking ideal that they have adopted so far this year.
