1. 2001 Miami Hurricanes

The 2001 Miami Hurricanes were the single-greatest collection of talent in college football to ever grace one roster. It consisted of Ken Dorsey, Clinton Portis, Willis McGahee, Najeh Davenport, Frank Gore, Andre Johnson, Jeremy Shockey, Kellen Winslow, Bryant McKinnie — and that’s just the offense.

The defense included Vince Wilfork, Jonathan Vilma, D.J. Williams, Ed Reed, Phillip Buchanon, Michael Rumph, Sean Taylor and Antrel Rolle. Imagine suiting up against this team and being able to tell your family 0 if you survived- that you played against two handfuls of future NFL stars.

They didn’t all play in 2001, but the talent was there. And after the 2001 team finished 12-0 capped off with a National Championship, the 2002 went 12-1 and suffered a controversial loss to the Ohio State Buckeyes in the 2002 National Championship Game.

If Connected Dynasties are a thing in the next iteration of the NCAA Football game, whoever picks the 2001 Miami Hurricanes is the winner. You don’t even have to play the games – they’re it. Too much talent.
