2. Chuba Hubbard can do it all

Coming into this game, Chuba Hubbard had just 11 catches on the year for 82 yards, but he surpassed the yardage total on Saturday against the Mountaineers.

Hubbard hadn’t been known for an all-purpose back but he showed that ability against West Virginia, catching seven passes for 88 yards. He did this all while rushing for 106 yards on 26 carries. While he didn’t cross the goal-line for the Cowboys, he helped them move the ball and took a lot of pressure off Dru Brown’s shoulders.

If Oklahoma State was an 11-0, 10-1 or even 9-2 team right now, we’d probably be talking about Hubbard as a serious Heisman Trophy contender. Will he still get an invite to New York? It’s possible, but the Cowboys would have to win Bedlam next week and he’d have to have a monster game.

Enjoy Hubbard while you can, Oklahoma State fans, he won’t be on campus for too long. This kid is just too good of an NFL prospect to keep under wraps.
