2. Cole McDonald is still vastly underrated

Of the names that doesn’t get brought up enough in the college football ranks in terms of top-tier quarterbacks is Cole McDonald. The junior quarterback had his best season yet and capped it off with a game-winning drive against BYU in the final minutes.

Just how impressive was he against the Cougars? He completed 28-of-46 passes for 493 yards and four touchdowns and made the game-winning score look routine.

With this performance, McDonald surpassed 4,000 yards and 30 touchdowns on the season and didn’t throw a single pick against the Cougars. He was unfazed by the pressure in the final minutes and that may have had something to do with the fact that he was playing a home game, but it was impressive nonetheless.

If you’re a Rainbow Warrior fan, you have to wonder just exactly the junior quarterback still needs to do in order to earn some national recognition.

McDonald followed up a 3,000-yard sophomore season with 4,000 yards this year and has a rocket for an arm. Give this guy some respect.
