Tua Tagovailoa is nearing his decision date to either return to Alabama football or enter the NFL draft. Here’s why he should come back in 2020.

With just one day remaining before Tua Tagovailoa’s decision, Alabama fans are on the edge of their seats waiting to see what their All-American quarterback will do.

Will Tua forgo his final season of eligibility in Tuscaloosa after a disappointing season with the Tide to enter the NFL draft or will he return to try and lead the Tide to a national title?

Tua should come back and here’s why.

3. Desire to go out on own terms

No players want their careers to be cut short due to an injury, but that’s what Tua Tagovailoa would be facing if hr went pro. His time at Alabama was highlighted by a national title win as a freshman and a loss as a sophomore and he looked destined to win the Heisman and another title as a junior before he went down with an injury.

Sure, negative fans can blame Nick Saban for leaving him in during a blowout and even letting him pass the ball, but he wanted to play more in the second half and he would defend his coach in a heartbeat.

What will eat at him, though, is if the last time he wore an Alabama uniform was while he was getting carted off the field. He wants to leave Tuscaloosa on his own terms and that will only happen if he comes back for another season and exhausts his eligibility while chasing a national title.
