Elias Ricks is one of the best incoming cornerbacks in the 2020 class and it’s no surprise that he’d want to take his talents to Baton Rouge. The Tigers have a history of developing elite cornerbacks and what better incoming freshman to develop into a future first-round pick than the IMG Academy star.

If you’re unfamiliar with IMG Academy, it’s one of the most prestigious schools in the country and draws future FBS talent and usually has a majority of Division 1 players on its roster.

Ricks is one of those instant impact players as a five-star incoming freshman and the No. 2 cornerback in the nation. He’s also the second-best prospect from the state of California and No. 14 in the country. If he can’t come in and bolster that young, but enticing, secondary, I’d be shocked.

Oh, and did I mention that he’s already enrolled at LSU? He’s on campus already and with the team so by the time fall rolls around, he’ll be more than acclimated with a new defense — Dave Aranda is at Baylor now.

Imagine a secondary with Derek Stingley Jr. and Ricks as the starting cornerbacks. That’s quite the deadly duo.
