Maryland’s offensive line in 2019 was great at letting people play tag with Josh Jackson or Tyrell Pigrome or whomever was unfortunate enough to be in charge of throwing the football for the Terps on any given Saturday (and one Friday we should all forget happened).

In the Big Ten, where large corn-fed human tractors dominate the trenches, Maryland has been out-gunned for a while. Mike Locksley aimed to fix that by bringing in multiple large lineman to likely get playing time right out of the gate.

Ja’Khi Green is one of the most impressive of that group.

At 6-foot-6, 320 pounds, Green is a beast at tackle. A local kid from St. Frances Academy in Baltimore, he has a better chance than most to start the first snap of the first game.

With impressive speed and strength in addition to his obvious size advantage, he could be start of the upgrade the Terps desperately need up front.
