Week 2 preview

A great week one capped off with multiple top 25 matchups end in a few upsets. Looking ahead to Week 2, there are not many great ranked matchups, but one is circled on the calendar. No. 3 USC travels to the Shoe to face No. 8 Ohio State. Two historic programs playing against each other in the non-conference is special, especially when playing at a stadium like Ohio Stadium.

Both Texas and Alabama will have cupcake weeks, as the Longhorns get their second consecutive ‘guaranteed game’ while the Crimson Tide are fresh off a top 10 victory against Virginia Tech.

Newly hired head coach Dabo Swinney will get his first real test as permanent as Clemson will take on No. 15 Georgia Tech. The archrival of those two schools will also be facing off as Georgia and South Carolina battle in an early SEC East matchup.

Here is the full schedule for next week:

  • No. 2 Texas vs. Wyoming
  • No. 4 Alabama vs. FIU
  • No. 15 Georgia Tech vs. Clemson
  • No. 21 Georgia vs. South Carolina
  • No. 3 USC vs. No. 8 Ohio State
  • No. 5 Oklahoma State vs. Houston
