59. Alabama. S. Xavier McKinney. 18. player. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis

After trading Minkah Fitzpatrick, the Miami Dolphins are left with the safety position available for another former Alabama safety to take over.

Xavier McKinney is a player that plays hard and is ruthless in attacking the ball, whether they are stopping the run or defending the pass. He is a safety that can roam all over the field to make any play. The Dolphins will appreciate his high football IQ to go along with the multiple defensive veterans the Dolphins have already acquired so far in free agency.

The Dolphins were looking to reload their team in terms of talent and potential with picks and veterans. They seem to already on track after accounting for some significant wins last season. Adding a versatile and key playmaker at the safety position once again like McKinney will put them in competition for the AFC East title.

That title is now wide open for the Dolphins.
