The Raiders took care of one of the biggest position needs on the offensive side at wide receiver. Now they must take care of one of their biggest needs on the defensive side of the ball at the safety position.

Grant Delpit has keys and potential to be a complete and dynamic safety in the NFL. Mike Mayock and Jon Gruden like the potential and multiple attributes that Delpit will bring to the Las Vegas Raiders defense.

Seeing a tough safety like Delpit slips this late in the draft will be a steal for a team that needs a future team leader.

Delpit slipped in terms of production this past season. He was regarded as a top-five prospect before the start of last season. If he can tackle at full speed again as a result of his collarbone injury, Delpit can create an immediate impact like Derwin James has done for the Los Angeles Chargers.
