South Dakota State nearly beat Minnesota in the season opener a year ago and followed that loss with six straight wins, so clearly this team can be a threat to FBS foes.

That won’t be the case in Week 3, however, as Nebraska will hold off the Jackrabbits and improve to 3-0 on the young season, staring down a perfect opening month of play with one final battle against Cincinnati awaiting.

Final Score: South Dakota State 13, Nebraska 38 (3-0)

Luke Fickell is back as head coach of the Bearcats after it looked like he was destined to take the Michigan State job in the offseason, but that’s great news for Cincinnati and bad news for every opponent on its schedule.

Cincinnati was one of the best teams from the AAC last season and that won’t change in 2020. If there was ever a game that could be dubbed an upset special, this is it.

Adrian Martinez will make enough plays and show off his maturity by not crumbling under pressure and coming up clutch against one of the best Group of Five teams in the nation.

Final Score: Cincinnati 27, Nebraska 30 (4-0)
