After suffering their first loss of the season, the Cornhuskers will head back home to face another ranked foe in Penn State. The Nittany Lions, too, will be 7-1 heading into this game and it could almost feel like an elimination game for both teams’ Big Ten division title hopes.

Penn State has a returning quarterback who might just be the second-best passer in the league and he’s no stranger to road games. This one will go back-and-forth, but I see the Nittany Lions coming out on top, handing Nebraska its second straight loss.

Final Score: Penn State 30, Nebraska 21 (7-2, 4-2)

Next, we see the Cornhuskers hitting the road to take on rival Iowa. The Hawkeyes may not have the ideal quarterback situation heading into the season with Nate Stanley gone, but the defense will be solid again and the run game is always above average.

Nebraska’s defense will still struggle here and we’ll see just why Big Ten teams hate playing at Kinnick Stadium. The Hawkeyes are incredibly difficult to beat at home.

That two-game losing streak will be stretched to three here.

Final Score: Nebraska 21, Iowa 24 (7-3, 4-3)
