If there’s one position the Gators have been known for over the years, no matter the coach, it’s cornerback. In recent years, guys like Vernon Hargreaves, Teez Tabor, Quincy Wilson, Duke Dawson and CJ Gardner-Johnson have been selected in the NFL draft and CJ Henderson could go early in the 2020 selection process.

That has to be a major draw for someone like Jason Marshall who happens to be one of the best cornerbacks in the 2021 recruiting class.

Clinton Burton Jr. is already committed to the Gators as a top-150 recruit and he’s also the 13th-best cornerback in the 2021 class, according to the composite. That shouldn’t turn off Marshall as the Gators will need multiple cornerbacks to fill out the class, especially with starters heading to the NFL almost every year.

Marshall is ranked the No. 32 overall prospect in the country as well as the third-best cornerback, according to the composite. The Miami-native is also being courted by LSU, Florida State and obviously Miami.
