As you might be able to tell by now, the city of Miami is absolutely loaded with four and five-star talent, and it’s topped off by Florida’s No. 1 target, Leonard Taylor.

Teammates with Jason Marshall, Taylor is the fourth-best prospect in the state of Florida, according to the composite. He’s rated as a five-star and the No. 31 player in the country per those same rankings, but 247Sports is even higher on him, listing him as the No. 4 recruit in the nation and Florida’s top prospect.

If Florida can keep Taylor close to home and reel him away from the Hurricanes, it can start piecing together one heck of a finish to its 2021 class and that would surely help with Marshall and probably Jacorey Books as well.

Taylor has a solid frame at 6-4 and 255 pounds and with that athletic body, he could be a versatile defensive lineman, potentially playing on the interior or at end.

Florida is currently the favorite to land him, but he’s also being recruited heavily by Miami, Tennessee and Georgia.
