Finding a quarterback is arguably the most important commitment of any recruiting class and the 2021 group is no different for Chip Kelly and Co.

Sure, there are some big names on the board from across the nation, but one has to catch the eye of the Bruins’ coaching staff and his name is Miller Moss from Mission Hills, Calif.

Moss is tabbed as the No. 50 recruit in the class as well as the fifth-best pro style passer and No. 5 prospect from the state of California, per the composite rankings. He holds two dozen offers from some of the nation’s premier programs but the ones currently high on his list are Michigan, Alabama, LSU, Cal, USC and, of course, UCLA.

The Bruins currently have Dorian Thompson-Robinson entering his junior season as well as incoming four-star Colson Yankoff who would likely be a redshirt freshman in 2021. That shouldn’t scare off Moss who would compete for the starting job whenever DTR departs.

Moss’ recruitment may be far from over, especially with the in-person recruiting and campus visits suspended by the NCAA amid the COVID-19 outbreak but UCLA is in a good spot here.
