Defensive tackle Khalil Davis put together a breakout senior season for the Huskers in 2020 with a career-high 44 tackles with 11 coming for a loss and eight being sacks.

At just 6-foot-2, Davis is a little smaller than most NFL nose tackles, but the promise he showed as a Senior should earn him a spot in the NFL.

A team such as the Tampa Bay Buccaneers would be a perfect fit for the former Husker. Tampa Bay has two starters in Vita Vea and fellow Nebraska alum Ndamukong Suh, which would allow Davis to develop in a rotational role and possibly emerge as the latter’s eventual replacement as the veteran is only signed for one year.

Projection: Sixth round (Buccaneers)
