4. New York Giants

Picks: OT Andrew Thomas, S Xavier McKinney, OT Matt Peart, CB Darnay Holmes, G Shane Lemieux, OLB Cameron Brown, DE Carter Coughlin, LB T.J. Brunson, CB Chris Williamson, ILB Tae Crowder

The New York Giants draft suggests their rebuild may be nearing an end. Joe Judge and Dave Gettleman wasted no time filling their biggest need with the selection of right tackle Andrew Thomas fourth overall.

In round two, the draft’s top-ranked safety Xavier McKinney from Alabama fell in their laps to fill their need at free safety alongside Jabril Peppers.

Later on, the team continued to beef up their biggest needs. They added speedster Darnay Holmes who will help at corner and likely be the Giants new kick returner. New York added another young offensive tackle in Matt Peart and offensive guard Shane Lemieux who they plan to cross-train at center.

Finally, they addressed the pass rush with Penn State‘s Cameron Brown and Minnesota’s Carter Coughlin, who made 22.5 sacks in four years at Minnesota.

By beefing up the offensive line and building around offseason addition James Bradberry in the secondary, New York is one of the big winners of the 2020 Draft.
