2. The offensive line

Once again, beating a dead horse, but the Aggie offensive line has to be better in 2020 if the team wants to be successful. The unit returns four starters, so that’s a positive — I guess. However, the unit struggled last season to keep Kellen Mond upright and able to deliver the ball like he needed to, so the amount of positivity surrounding that level of return is questionable at best.

Mond was sacked 31 times in 2019, threw nine interceptions and fumbled the ball six times, losing three of them.

Texas A&M sat seventh in the conference and 63rd in the nation in terms of third-down conversion percentage at about 40 percent. In comparison, Alabama sat at 53 and LSU at 50. That has to get better in 2020.

The team loses Colton Prater to graduation but retains seniors Carson Green, Dan Moore Jr., Jared Hocker and Ryan McCollum as well as sophomore Kenyon Green who showed some strong flashes during his freshman campaign. There are some other players on the roster, including five freshmen, but the amount of playing time those guys will get is up in the air.

I would give those guys a shot along with the seniors, but that is just my thought process. We will see how it all shakes out, especially without spring practice to give an actual position battle.
