College Football: Each Power Five conference’s top 3 receivers for 2020
With much of the top wide receivers from the Big 12, last season now in the NFL, Kansas’ Andrew Parchment has a chance to show why he belongs in the conversation as one of the Big 12’s top wide receivers.
Parchment began his college career in 2017. After a season of JUCO ball in Iowa, Parchment transferred to Kansas, where he thrived in the Jayhawks offense last season. He made 65 catches for 831 yards and seven touchdowns to earn an All-Big 12 honorable mention All-Big 12 as a newcomer.
In a second-year under Les Miles‘ offense, he should be able to continue improving his game and proving himself as one of the best wideouts in the Big 12.
With CeeDee Lamb stealing the spotlight, Oklahoma‘s Charleston Rambo‘s solid 2019 season flew under the radar.
Rambo ranked second on the Sooners with 43 receptions, 743 receiving yards and five receiving touchdowns. He posted three 100-plus yard games and also averaged 23.7 yards on three kick return attempts.
With Lamb gone, Rambo will be the Sooners’ primary receiver next season, which will allow him to showcase why he’s among the top wide receivers returning to the Big 12 in 2020.
Not only does Oklahoma State have the Big 12’s top returning running back in Chubba Hubbard, but they have the top returning receiver in Tylan Wallace.
As a sophomore in 2018, Wallace caught 86 passes for a conference-leading 1,491 yards and 12 touchdowns while adding a 13th touchdown on his lone rushing attempt of the season. He earned first-team All-Big 12 honors and was named a finalist for the Biletnikoff Award.
Wallace was held to just nine games as a junior in 2019 but still managed to catch 53 passes for 903 yards and eight touchdowns and earn second-team All-Big 12 honors.
A fully healthy Wallace in 2020 will not only make for the conference’s top receivers but one of the best in the entire nation.
