If Rondale Moore never got hurt in 2019, we’d probably be talking about him as a lock to go in the first round of the 2021 NFL Draft. However, he suffered an injury four games into the season that allowed him to utilize his redshirt as he never returned to the field. He’ll likely be the best receiver in the Big Ten heading into the 2020 season.

As a freshman in 2018, Moore was an All-Big Ten selection and the first true freshman in Big Ten history to earn consensus All-American honors as a first-teamer. He was the Big Ten Receiver of the Year as well as Big Ten Freshman of the Year and his injury during his sophomore campaign was nothing short of disappointing for fans — and obviously the team.

Moore had 114 catches for 1,258 yards and 12 touchdowns as a freshman while running 21 times for 213 yards and two more scores. He also returned 33 kicks and 12 punts.

His sophomore season got off to a fast start as he had 29 catches for 387 yards and two touchdowns in three full games and part of a fourth where he was injured. Moore would have broken 1,000 yards once again and likely would have earned All-American honors for the second straight year.

Now entering his third year with the program, there’s a good chance he’ll leave early if he feels he’s done enough to maximize his stock as one of the top receivers in the country.

For that to happen, he needs to prove that he hasn’t lost a step post-injury.
