From one All-Pac-12 team selection to another, Levi Onwuzurike fared slightly better than the aforementioned Joe Tryon, making the first team in 2019.

As a junior, Onwuzurike finished with 45 tackles, six tackles for loss and two sacks and was one of the more dominant defensive linemen in the conference. He has the frame at 6-3 and 290 pounds to cause problems up the middle and he’s versatile enough to move to the edge. He was one of the best defenders on the team in 2019.

This came as no surprise to anyone who followed his upward climb from his freshman season when he burst onto the scene with 16 tackles, 3.5 tackles for loss and two sacks in 2017. He then improved on that for 34 tackles, six tackles for loss and three sacks in 2018.

While his numbers in 2019 weren’t mind-boggling, they were good enough to turn some heads and earn some extra attention from NFL scouts.

Coming back for his senior year, Onwuzurike will be looked at as one of the best defensive linemen in the conference and improving those tackles for loss and sack numbers will only help his stock but he should be a lock to be drafted in 2021.
