Scouting Report. Senior. 2. Pick Analysis. RB. Travis Etienne. player. 879

First-round caliber running backs are a rarity in the NFL draft. Clemson running back Travis Etienne had the potential to be selected within the first round of the 2020 NFL Draft on April 23 but he chose to stay for his senior season for unfinished business after a national championship loss to the LSU Tigers.

Etienne is one of the most dynamic and explosive rushers in the nation, who can beast defenders with speed and agility. He is also a dangerous playmaker in the passing game as a versatile route runner to Lawrence.

Last season, Etienne rushed for 1,614 yards and 19 touchdowns on 207 carries for an average of 7.8 yards per carry. He also caught 37 passes for 432 yards and four touchdowns. In his sophomore season in 2018, Etienne rushed for 1,658 yards and 12 touchdowns on 204 carries. He has been selected as a first-team All-ACC member and named ACC Player of the Year in the 2018 and 2019 season.

In his three years with Clemson, Etienne has rushed for 4,038 yards and 56 touchdowns on 518 carries. He has the motor and durability to stay constant throughout the game, which adds to his factors of reliability.

USA Today has Etienne ranked 14th overall in the 2021 NFL Draft and Athlon Sports has him ranked 13th overall.
