Kylin Hill has the best shot of anyone on the Bulldogs of earning All-SEC honors. He’s one of the best running backs in the SEC and could end up earning All-American honors after his 2020 campaign.

Last season as a junior, Hill led the SEC in rushing yards with 1,350 on a 5.57 yards per carry average and accounted for 10 touchdowns. He was the best and most exciting part of a Bulldogs offense that was pretty lackluster in 2019. Hill wasn’t used that often in the passing game last season only recording 18 catches, but he was able to make plays when he got the ball in his hands going for 10 yards on average per catch.

With Mike Leach running the show now, expect Hill’s receiving output to be a lot higher. Leach loves to use his backs in the passing game; in 2019, Max Borghi had 86 receptions, in 2018, Borghi and James Williams combined for 136 catches and in 2017, Williams and Jamal Morrow combined for 131 receptions.

Hill has 44 career receptions in his first three seasons, he should easily top that with Leach calling the plays. His rushing output might take a step back under Leach’s air-raid system but expect Hill to still be heavily involved in the offense. He will have at least another 1,500 all purpose yards season and should earn First Team All SEC honors.

Hill could have gone pro last season but he chose to return to play under Leach, looks like he also believes his usage will be high under the new coach.
