Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. Lorenzo Lingard. player. RB. Florida. 3. 840

A stud of a running back, Lorenzo Lingard just on looks alone is a physical specimen. He was all but set to show up in Gainesville his freshman year, then he suffered a torn MCL which took two seasons to fully recover.

Lingard only appeared in two games during his career with the Hurricanes accounting for 17 carries for 136 yards and two touchdowns in his time at Miami.

Despite limited playing time, just based on Lorenzo’s measurable there is a lot to be expected from this kid. The former five-star running back was one of the most explosive players in the nation less than three short years ago, making plays from all areas of the field coming out of high school and reportedly ran a 4.27 40-yard dash during his freshman season at Miami.

With the loss of Lamical Perine, expect Lingard to contribute to the Gators’ offense rather quickly. His natural speed and quickness make him a valuable option in the passing game.

If Kyle Trask can up his level of play and can get a good running game to back him up, The Gators are going to be one of the best teams in the SEC. They are my second choice to win the conference behind rival Georgia.
